Philosophy

"This crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism. Our whole educational system suffers from this evil. An exaggerated competitive attitude is inculcated into the student, who is trained to worship acquisitive success as a preparation for his future career. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by a(n) educational system which would be oriented toward social goals. In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilised in a planned fashion. A planned economy, which adjusts production to the needs of the community, would distribute the work to be done among all those able to work and would guarantee a livelihood to every man, woman and child. The education of the individual, in addition to promoting his own innate abilities, would attempt to develop in him a sense of responsibility for his fellow-men in place of the glorification of power and success in our present society." -Albert Einstein, 1949, On Education
Erudite came into existence with a dream to re-realize the concept of Education. We at Erudite believe that the primary purpose of the Education is to make every Individual Virtuous; Intellectually and Morally. In the Aristotelian philosophy of education a central position is occupied by education for leisure or ‘schole’ (Etymological root of the word School). This is an essential part of the training for the ‘business of being a man’. Here, leisure must not be confused with idling. It is the faculty of being able and knowing how to use one’s time freely. Freedom is one of the ultimate goals of education for happiness is impossible without freedom. Such freedom is achieved through contemplation or the philosophical life, that is to say, in the activity of the mind relieved of all material constraints.  We at Erudite believe in learning for the sake of learning. Success, of course, is a by-product of Excellence.

Short Term Goals:
In this cash-driven age where learning and knowledge is only defined within the range of interview questions, Ethics and Values have acquired different meanings according to different individuals and a 'sab chalta hai’ attitude has crept in across the realm; Erudite vows to create professionals who not only work but excel in the area where their heart is. We vow to create individuals capable of leading from the front in the area of their INTEREST.

The goal of Erudite is to provide quality support to the students’ & teachers’ community alike and to help them extract the knowledge and values from the Education. We wish to bring out the best in every student we get a privilege to associate with. We try to foster critical thinking, facilitate the acquisition of life-long-learning-skills and prepare students to function effectively in socio-economic order. At Erudite we stress more on the Application of Knowledge than Accumulation of Knowledge. We are committed to engage best possible resources and put it to the service of the community.

Long Term Goal: Refer to philosophy above. More Read.

Pedagogy:
Pedagogy at the Erudite is a three tier process.
  1. To lay a solid foundation of the basics and develop a liking for learning among the students.
  2. To develop the edifice of the applications on the foundation of the basics.
  3. Subject them to a rigorous self improvement programme through practice papers etc.
